The first step - Your estimate
Our professionally trained moving Consultant will arrange a mutually convenient time to visit your home and conduct a visual survey of the items to be moved. She will address your questions and provide solutions to any special concerns you might have.
Delivery timeframe:
An industry established Transit Time Guide determines the length of time required to transport your household goods. There are many factors affecting the length of time it takes for a shipment to travel from origin to destination: the distance, weight of the shipment, government regulations in the National Safety Code, customs, weather, road conditions and the need for ferries during transit.
Handling with Care
On moving day, a Van Operator and crew will arrive to wrap and prepare your furniture for loading. The protective pads are not unwrapped until your goods are safely delivered inside your new home. United takes the protection of your goods one step further: vans, containers and furniture pads are treated with the Sanitized process (licensed exclusively to United Van Lines) for a clean, fresh environment for your belongings.
Customer Responsibilities during the Move Process
How does the driver keep track of my goods?
All items in your home will be inventoried on loading day. Items are numbered and a brief description of the condition is listed on the inventory sheet.
Destination
If you are taking immediate delivery direct from the Van Operator and no storage is required, your Van Operator will contact you at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled delivery time. The crew will unload, unwrap and place your possessions in the house as you direct them. They will assemble any items that they disassembled at origin.
